Full Circle

Privacy Policy

Full Circle is a private, one-sentence journal. This page says, in plain words, what we keep and what happens to it.

What we collect

Your account email, and the name your sign-in gives us if you use one.

What you type: your sentences, any word you choose or make up, your reflections and evening notes, the pages you write about a word, and the page you write about a day.

What is made for you: each word, its line, the reading under the word, and your weekly, monthly and yearly recaps. Some entries also keep a short note on why the word fits that day. We also keep your votes on how a word landed, and which words you keep.

Circles: the days of each circle you walk, the word and line each day brings, your votes, and your galaxies. If you build a constellation, we keep the seven words you chose, the line written from them, the name you gave it, and any private writing you add to it.

Your settings: preferred name and birthday if you add them, theme and colour, voice, reminder choices and time, time zone, journal page choices (including the blur setting), your answers when you first joined, and the tone you give each day.

Activity: your streaks, journey progress, daily draw counts, which reminders were sent, and your device's push address if you turn notifications on.

Payments: if you subscribe, a record of the purchase and subscription from our payment provider. Card details stay with the payment provider and never reach us.

If you report a line that is wrong or unkind, we keep the line's id and your reason so the app's owner can look at it.

Trying it before you sign up

The quick try on the home page does not need an account. The sentence you type is sent to an AI model to find a word and a line (see How AI is used). We do not save the sentence on our servers. Your result is kept in your browser tab until you finish signing up, and a sentence you typed into the sign-up gate stays on your device for up to 24 hours.

To limit free tries, we keep a daily count against scrambled one-way codes made from your device and network address. Never the raw values, and never your sentence. We also count, without any text or identity, how many visitors reached each step of sign-up. The older try-it page may hold a line made for you on our servers until you create an account to keep it.

How AI is used

To create your word and line, the sentence you type, or the word you pick, is sent to a third-party AI model provider for that purpose. What you type is also checked by an AI model for safety. The provider's systems read it, not a person at Full Circle or at the provider.

On Premium, a few of your sentences and reflections from the last three days may also be sent so the line fits your week.

To write your weekly, monthly and yearly recaps and the then-and-now note in your journal, the words, lines, reflections and evening notes from that time are sent the same way. When you build a constellation, the seven words you chose are sent to write its line. When you ask Full Circle for a read, the words and reflections it draws on are sent.

If you play a line aloud, its text is sent to a speech service to make the audio. Your name and email are never sent to an AI model.

Full Circle is not a medical, mental-health or crisis service, and an AI-written line is not advice. If you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself, call your local emergency number now. In the US you can call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time.

AI processing

Full Circle uses AI to read what you write and choose your word and mantra. Your sentences, reflections and votes are sent to a third-party AI service only to create your words, mantras and summaries. You can turn this off anytime in Settings, under Account.

We ask before your first word. If you choose Not now, or turn it off later, nothing you write is sent to AI, and the rest of the app, including reading your journal, exporting your words and deleting your account, keeps working.

The AI providers are Anthropic (Claude models) and Google (Gemini models). Requests go to them through the AI service built into the platform that runs Full Circle, which can route a request to one of these providers. If you play a line aloud, its text goes to the platform's speech service.

Who can see your words

Private to your journal. Never shared. Your writing is never public, never sold, and never used for advertising.

The Blur setting (Journal page choices) hides your writing past the first twelve words on your journal page until you tap it. It protects the screen from a passing glance. It does not change what we store.

The app's owner, as administrator, has technical access to the stored data, and so do the service providers that run the app: hosting, AI, email and payments.

Share cards

A share card is made on your device, only when you ask for one. It shows the word and line, or your circle's words, with the Full Circle name. It does not include your private writing. Once you save or send a card, who sees it is up to you.

Emails and notifications

Only what you turn on, plus account emails: sign-in codes and password resets. These can include a daily word reminder by email or push, an evening check-in, notes that your week, month or year in words is ready, journey reminders, and a short note before your free trial ends or when you have been away.

They never contain what you wrote, or the words and lines made for you. A reminder may greet you by your preferred name.

On your device and measuring use

Full Circle does not set advertising cookies. It keeps a few things in your browser's storage: your sign-in, your theme and accent colour, a random id that paces the home page try, your answer to a sign-up gate, and small flags so a tip or pop-up is not shown twice.

The app records simple usage events, such as which screen was opened or whether a button was used. They never contain what you wrote, and we do not use advertising trackers.

Subscriptions

Premium is paid, and the price and free trial are shown on the Membership page and in the Subscription Terms. If you buy through the App Store or Google Play, that store takes the payment and handles billing and refunds, and we do not see your card.

Age

Full Circle is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Deleting your account

Go to You, then Account, then Delete my account. You type DELETE to confirm. It is immediate and permanent. Any Premium subscription is cancelled first.

Your words, lines, reflections, day pages, circles, galaxies and constellations, and your settings are deleted immediately. Your login is removed within 7 days.

We keep only an anonymous count (the date and how many entries were removed), and a scrambled one-way code made from your email so the free trial is given once per email. Billing records held by the payment provider are kept by them as the law requires. Our purchase record is kept without your email.

Audio of lines you played aloud is stored as files the app cannot erase. The app removes every link to them.

Exporting your words

Go to You, then Account, then Export my words.
